Meet Coach Mikey – Founder & Head Coach of Ninja Lair!

Coach Mikey brings 14 years of Ninja experience and over 8 years of coaching to the Ninja Lair community. 

He holds a Level 2 Ninja Coach Certification and has competed on American Ninja Warrior in Seasons 4, 5, 6, 14, and 15 and advancing to the Vegas finals twice!

With countless league competitions and five ANW appearances under his belt, Coach Mikey is passionate about growing the sport and sharing his love for Ninja with others. 

Founding Ninja Lair was his way of giving back to the community and creating a space where everyone from kids to adults, can train, grow, and succeed.

He’s dedicated to helping ninjas of all levels build technique, strength, confidence, and most importantly have fun along the way!

Meet Coach Isaiah!

Coach Isaiah is a former nationally ranked elite tumbler who has competed in some of the most prestigious national events, including the Winter Classic, U.S. Elite Challenge, World Team Trials, and the Pan American Championships.

With over 10 years of gymnastics coaching experience and 4 years as a Ninja coach alongside Coach Mikey, Isaiah brings a wealth of knowledge to every class.

 He holds both an ISSA personal training certification and a Level 2 Ninja Coaching Certification.

Isaiah’s passion lies in helping students grow through movement, performance, and discipline. He aims to use his background in athletics and performance to inspire the next generation, both in the gym and beyond.

Fun Fact: You may have seen him perform in a Cirque du Soleil show on the Las Vegas Strip!

Meet Coach Eric!

Coach Eric has been training in Ninja for 6 years and rock climbing for 2. 

With 5 years of coaching experience, he holds a Level 1 Ninja Coaching Certification and even competed on Season 1 of American Ninja Warrior Jr.!

Eric is passionate about coaching and is dedicated to helping his ninjas reach their goals, whether it’s mastering new skills, preparing for competitions, or building confidence. He believes the lessons learned in Ninja go far beyond the gym. For example, when you fall on an obstacle, you get back up and keep trying! A mindset that applies to life itself!

Outside the gym, Eric is a student at UNLV working toward his degree and enjoys spending time with his family.

Meet Coach Avery!

Coach Avery is a Level 10 gymnast with over 10 years of gymnastics experience, and he’s been training in Ninja and rock climbing for the past 2 years.

He has 1.5 years of Ninja coaching experience and holds a Level 1 Ninja Coaching Certification. 

Avery specializes in flips, flyaways, grip training, and all things Ninja!

Meet Coach Savvy!

Assistant Coach Savvy has been training in ninja for 6 years and coaching for 1 year.

She is a world champion in both UNAA and FINA, two of the four major ninja leagues outside of ANW.

Her impressive list of accomplishments includes:

• 2024 100M OCR World Champion
   
• 3K OCR World Champion
   
• NSC Youth Championships Competitor
   
• 2023 Spartan Kids World Champion
   

Savvy specializes in ninja training, flyways, Spartan racing, and bar work. If you're looking to learn how to link obstacles or improve your bar skills, she's the coach for you!

Meet Coach Sam!

Coach Sam has been rock climbing for 13 years and jumped into ninja just a year ago, quickly proving to be a natural talent!

She’s the newest coach at Ninja Lair and brings 1 year of coaching experience, along with a Level 1 Ninja Coaching Certification.

Coach Sam specializes in:

• Upper body strength
   
• Grip strength & mobility
   
• Core development
   
• Power endurance
   
• Techniques to increase hang time
   

With a passion for helping both kids and adults overcome mental blocks, Sam is all about making ninja a fun, positive, and empowering experience. She’s committed to helping each athlete push beyond their limits and reach their goals.

Her background includes:

• 13 years of indoor and outdoor climbing
   
• 3 years of competitive climbing
   
• 2 years ranked at the divisional level
   
• Over a year of team coaching experience

Meet Coach Brandi!

Coach Brandi has been rock climbing for 18 years, doing ninja for 5, and coaching on and off for 4 years!

You’ll usually catch her holding it down at the front desk or answering the phones! But don’t be surprised if she suddenly appears on the floor to jump in and help coach like a ninja in disguise!

She’s also a familiar face on American Ninja Warrior, making sideline appearances in Seasons 14, 15, and 17, cheering on her husband, Coach Mikey, and their Ninja Warrior friends with Leonardo riding shotgun on her hip!
